Cheng has created a look and feel that is decidedly modern, yet surprising timeless. Cheng notes, "Modernist design is sometimes associated with being stark or devoid of character. The design of elements aims to create a more engaging form; to sculpt something new utilizing accessories and negative space. We wish to expose things a little more in this kitchen yet creatively work within the physical  parameters of the basic box shape which makes up most modernist design."
